The Tecpatl is one of many models released by CRKT and is one of several knives that are part of their Forged by War series. Started in 2013 by Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, this program teamed up with veterans with varying degrees of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) to offer a unique opportunity to help design knives and tools that they feel would have been beneficial to them as well as their battle buddies. Designed by Army Special Forces veteran Michael R. Rodriguez, this tactical fixed blade offers an ergonomic design as well as the ability to be deployed whether bare-handed of even with gloves. Each push dagger sports a memorable design of skull face as well as various graphics and symbols etched in white that pay tribute to the Army Special Forces, Army Green Berets and the Office of Strategic Services. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and product concepts to today’s market. This model, the 2261, features a black skeletonized stainless-steel handle, a wharncliffe style blade in a black finish and a MOLLE compatible black kydex sheath with an included clip plate for multiple carry options.
